Dr. Kristine C. Sawyer was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Her father was an aerospace medicine physician in the U.S. Army, so she moved frequently growing up. Her family settled in Enterprise during Dr. Sawyer’s high school years.
She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2009. Dr. Sawyer earned her Doctor of Medicine degree, with a Masters in Public Health, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine and School of Public Health in 2014.
In 2017, she completed a three-year Pediatric Residency program at University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a proud member of the Alabama Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Sawyer and her husband, Dr. Andrew Sawyer, live in Dothan with their son, William. In her free time, Dr. Sawyer likes to hike, camp, wakeboard, read, travel, and frolic with their Golden Retriever, Nora.
